The WSU Children’s Center offers student volunteer positions in classrooms and internships with children or in administrative roles. Volunteers are required to fulfill DCYF requirements, which include a background check with fingerprinting, proof of MMR immunization, TB test documentation, and completion of Health and Safety training provided by the Department of Children, Youth, and Families.

Background Check through Department of Children, Youth, and Families:
DCYF issues portable background checks, valid for five years, which can be submitted through the Managed Education and Registry Information Tool (MERIT)
