CCAMPIS Grant

Posted by cahnrs.webteam | August 12, 2016

The Child Care Access Means Parents In School (CCAMPIS) grant is a federal program of the U.S. Department of Education that assists parents with the cost of keeping their children enrolled in a quality child care center. University students must be PELL grant eligible or be a graduate or professional student who would otherwise be eligible under Pell grant income guidelines. In addition, students must be enrolled in classes at Washington State University (Pullman Campus) and have their children enrolled in a licensed and accredited child care center. Families who meet the requirements of the CCAMPIS grant will receive a subsidy, payable to the child care program, for child care tuition fees.

The CCAMPIS grant is available to income-eligible families attending classes during the Fall semester, Spring semester, and Summer sessions, pending federal funds. The current CCAMPIS grant program is effective October 2015 through September 2016.  Apply in August 2016 for the October 2016-17 funding.

Applications are available online, at all eligible child care centers, the WSU Financial Aid office, and Student Support Services.
